Biography
In 2005, Roger founded The Learning Clinic (TLC) to develop scalable solutions to improve healthcare outcomes of patients in hospital.
Amongst other product innovations TLC invented the category of electronic observations; a category in which they are a clear global leader. Their expertise in effective and award-winning mobile applications is widely recognized in UK healthcare.
Prior to founding TLC, Roger was co-founder and Managing Director of Dr Foster Ltd, which rapidly became the market leader for research into medical outcomes, and the number one hospital benchmarking company in the UK.
Roger invented and developed the Dr Foster clinical monitoring products and was responsible for their early commercial exploitation within the NHS.
Roger graduated with first class honours in Electronic and Control Engineering from Birmingham University. He is a chartered engineer and spent his early career as a specialist measurement and control engineer on major hazard chemical plants with ICI.
He has been owner/manager of several businesses since graduating with an MBA from Stanford Business School in California.
